“AeroPress Clear” is made of Tritan TX1001 copolyester plastic, which has the clear appearance of glass, but not its fragility. “AeroPress Original” is grey-tinted and made of polypropylene, which is cloudier in appearance. Both are highly durable, food-safe materials that are free of BPA and phtalates.
Yes, “AeroPress Clear” utilises the same brewing technology as other “AeroPress” coffee makers, yet does so in a new, crystal-clear form.
For day-to-day use, a simple rinse is enough because the plunger wipes the chamber clean as you brew. You can wash all “AeroPress” coffee makers in the dishwasher (top rack only) too though. Additionally, we recommend removing the seal from the end of the plunger from time to time, then washing it well using warm water and a mild dishwashing liquid.

For the best results, use a medium-fine grind, shake the coffee maker to level the bed of coffee grounds before adding water, then pour in the water slowly.
