Black Crow White Pigeon: Extraordinary Specialty Coffee Stories

Are you on the hunt for the perfect cup of coffee? Black Crow White Pigeon‘s main characters—the Black Crow and the White Pigeon—showcase a rich mix of flavours: from bold, earthy undertones to light, refreshing aromas. Whether you’re a beginner or a coffee expert, you can expect a truly premium experience when buying any of these specialty varieties. On each package, you’ll see a score between 80 and 88. Generally, coffee in the 85 to 88 range is considered excellent, and varieties that score anywhere between 80 and 84.99 are thought to be a very good, solid choice.

You might’ve noticed that our Black Crow White Pigeon packages come in two different colours: black and white. The choice of colour depends on the type of flavour. Coffees with lighter, softer notes of fruit or berries come in white, while those with darker, heavier notes, such as dark chocolate, are assigned the colour black. Made up of high-quality 100% arabica beans, these coffees are incredibly versatile, available as both whole beans and ground coffee. Plus, the varieties in the Parallel range are roasted in a way that’s perfect for any brewing method: filter, espresso, or in-cup.

The coffee belt is a horizontal strip of land in the tropics. It runs between the 25°N and 25°S parallels and surrounds the equator, passing through Central and South America, Asia, and Africa. The countries in this belt are thought to be ideal for coffee plantations. That’s why we’ve developed our specialty coffee blends—they’re designed to introduce you to different coffee-growing regions. The number assigned to each blend represents the difference between the highest northern and the lowest southern parallels of the coffee belt on a given continent. This is how three premium blends were born: “12” from Ethiopia and Tanzania, “17” from India and Papua New Guinea, and “36” from El Salvador and Brazil.
