Coffee tastes even better when it’s brewed in a clean, well-maintained coffee machine. Not every cloth is suited for coffee machines though, and some of them may end up scratching the surface of your appliance. That’s why we’ve created a special microfibre cloth for coffee machines.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTOMATIC COFFEE MACHINES:
If your coffee machine has an automatic cleaning program:
1. Put the tablet into the right place and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
If your coffee machine does not have an automatic cleaning program, but has ground coffee slot:
1. Put the tablet into the ground coffee slot and place a cup under the coffee spout.
2. Press the button, which prepares coffee from pre-ground beans.
3. When half of the cup is filled with water, turn the machine off and give some time for the cleaning tablet to do its magic.
4. Turn the machine on and finish coffee making process.
5. Repeat this process at least three times, but without the extra cleaning tablet. It’s crucial to clean the system from chemicals properly.
6. Take out the coffee making mechanism and carefully rinse it with clean water.
7. Before using the machine, make two cups of coffee. Choose the preparation method from pre-ground beans, but don’t use the actual pre-ground coffee.
8. When you want to clean the drip tray, put the tablet into the tray, fill two thirds of it with hot water, wait 30 minutes and carefully clean it.
If your machine does not make coffee from pre-ground beans:
1. Put cleaning tablet in the cup and fill it with hot water.
2. Take off coffee filter holder and with the mixture carefully wash the holder and its spouts as well as coffee filters.
3. Give some time or the mixture to do its magic –leave it on for at least 5 minutes. Later repeat the procedure at least 3 times.
4. Carefully rinse all washed mechanisms with clean water and put them all back into place.
5. When you want to clean the drip tray, put the tablet into the tray, fill two thirds of it with hot water, wait 30 minutes and carefully clean it.

The machine makes excellent coffee and the programmable pre-infusion and brew time is excellent for cinsistant brewing. Temperature control is good too. The group head gets plenty of heat and warms the PF very effectively. The steam wond is very good and steams milk very quickly and the wond remains cool enough to touch. Heatup time is a little longer than my previous Sage Duo Temp Pro, but is not painfully slow. Big drip tray and easy to remove when full.
Build quality is on the whole excllent and the machine feels solid, with firm button press. The knob for the steam control feels a little cheap compared to the rest of the machine and the tamper that came with it is so cheap it went straight in the bin.
Drawbacks that prevented me from giving 5 starts are that the OPV seems to kick in at arround 10 bars rather than 9, I would probably be looking to set this to 7 anyway but for the price point I would expect the OPV to be set correctly. Inserting the PF into the group head is very tight when turning to the lock position, and for the first few weeks I couldn’t get the PF all the way round to lock even under lots of force, I occasionally had leaks from the top of the PF. It seems to have losend up now. Removal of the water chamber for filling is also a little uneligant and requires removal of the pipes and filter first which leads to water drips and I’m sure this could be improved.
The above wouldn’t stop be from recommending this machine and Coffee Friend dispatched promptly after my order by a reputable courier.
A great dual boiler for the price point; Lelit really don’t mess around! Fantastic service from Coffee Friend and quick delivery to the UK despite the delays caused by the pandemic.
The included ‘tamper’ is junk and needs to be upgraded immediately. Otherwise, a fantastic buy. Look out for Dave Corbey Youtube videos and online guides, really helpful in terms of getting in-depth with the machine.
