Meet two local roasters: Two Chimps & Carringtons
Two Chimps Coffee is the creation of Andy & Laura and based in the heart of Rutland. After leaving behind the world of wedding photography, they decided to learn all they could about coffee and opened their roastery. They only roast their beans in small batches by hand, every time they receive an order so their customers know that they're getting the freshest coffee available. Two Chimps are on a mission to fill the gap between pod machine coffee drinkers and speciality coffee drinkers by offering fresh, hand-roasted speciality coffee straight to your door.
Here at Two Chimps Coffee they hand roast ethically sourced, single origin speciality coffees direct from their roastery in Rutland. Their coffees come to them from small farms and cooperatives around the world. This makes their coffees extra special because when a coffee runs out, it will be gone for good. Although this means they change their coffees from to time, just think about how many you will be able to try!

At Carringtons Coffee Co. single origin specialty coffees are being roasted for all brewing methods including cold brew coffee. As small-batch coffee roasters they hand-roast fully traceable coffees from single estates and cooperatives all over the world, each with unique flavour profiles and characteristics. Carringtons Coffee Co. makes all efforts to source, roast and package coffee in a sustainable and eco-friendly way.
In 2019 Carringtons Coffee Co. travelled to Colombia to visit a friend's coffee farm in Huila. It was here that the foundations of Carringtons Coffee Co. were built. Seeing first hand how coffee is cultivated enabled them to gain a greater appreciation for the farmer and the potential of raw, specialty-grade coffee. This relationship fostered a responsibility to find only the best specialty coffees whilst working towards their goal of importing raw coffee directly from the farm in Huila, Colombia.
Also, their coffee is sourced at a fair price for the coffee farmer and that their eco-system at the roastery is based on minimum wastage, recycling and using recycled/ recyclable materials wherever they can.
