I ordered a bean to cup machine which on despatch came from Poland. This wasn't initially concerning until it arrived with an EU plug (type E) and I didn't know if it needed a voltage converter or an adapter. I was genuinely unaware that the item wouldn't have a UK plug when ordering (I hope this fact becomes more prominent on the website in future). The price of the item was some £30 less than other UK retailers, and as it was a .co.uk domain name I presumed it would be UK stock. This also made me question whether there may be any ramifications for the 2 year warranty if used with an adapter or converter. Delonghi themselves gave differing views on this initially, but then stated as fact the item would indeed be covered by the warranty in the UK if used with an adapter, but not if used with a voltage converter. Long story short, after many emails, chats with various staff members online (to be fair, their availability was reduced due to Christmas and Covid) they have reassured me and are to refund the £8 I paid for an adapter. Although this situation wasn't ideal, the team at Coffee Friend kept in touch throughout and listened to me when I was, at first, quite distraught. They offered to take the item back and refund etc, but we have managed to avoid this. I'm very happy with my machine, and happy with the service I've received from Laura and the team. They absolutely went above and beyond in terms of their customer service, and are now a brand I will recommend to others. Great stuff, Merry Christmas, Chris.

Product was competitively priced. Email received to confirm order and payment which stated a further email would be sent to confirm order dispatched – this did not happen! However, product arrived very quickly and well packaged. Not used as yet due to it being a gift.
