This Nespresso machine was bought to replace an older – much bigger- model that was too big and, it being black, too dark looking. I really wanted a more 'compact' Nespresso and I also wanted it in 'white' as per description and photos, however, in reality, it's a cream/vanilla colour but I still like it and, for me, it's infinitely preferable to black. The compact size and light colour of this machine is visually appealing and it is super-easy to operate in order to get an excellent Nespresso coffee with full, rich flavour and a good 'crema'. However, there is a significant issue with the power (plug); it comes with an EU plug moulded to the power cable and a totally separate chunky big black 'adaptor' box that you have to put the EU plug inside, screw it all together and then find a plug socket big enough with space to accommodate it plus the fixed/moulded wire coming out from under it all. It looks really ugly when plugged in next to the dinky little Nespresso machine and, being a massive black lump, it COMPLETELY obliterates any aesthetic advantage gained from the creamy white colour of the machine. I'm also totally uncomfortable with using this brand new Nespresso machine with just a travel-adaptor power supply on a regular basis – it would be fine for a few days away but I can't use this every day! There is nothing on this UK website to clearly show the product is from the EU or that it doesn't have a proper UK power supply so I'm more than a bit cheesed off – I bought this on a recommendation of someone who has it at work but they bought it from a physical shop and it has a regular UK plug – this isn't an issue I expected to encounter and have asked coffeefriend.co.uk for their advice and support in resolving this matter.
