Similarly to other customers and previous reviews – I ordered a DeLonghi kettle which arrived with a EU plug and a cumbersome adaptor, which had to be attached and screwed into the plug. It looked more like a job for an electrician than an ordinary and non qualified consumer. The worst part is that the non UK plug wasn’t mentioned anywhere on their website, including the product technical specification. The process of returning the kettle on this basis and obtaining a full refund, was long and frustrating, due to poor communication on the part of the company’s customer service department. We were misled and treated with contempt when contacting Coffee Friend stating that should we had known the kettle didn’t have a UK plug, we would have never ordered it.

I ordered a parcel on the 16th of January but never received a confirmation. At the end of the week, I got a message saying the parcel would arrive by the end of the following week. On Thursday, the 30th of January, I wrote to confirm that I expected my parcel on Friday, the 31st, as all the deadlines had already been missed. The delivery was supposed to take 12 working days, but on the 12th day, I only received confirmation that my parcel had been processed. Then, on Friday the 31 of January, I was told that “my coffee machine will be dispatched today”. But I didn't order a coffee machine ! So they had no idea I ordered it. — The 12 working days should have included delivery. Furthermore, they claim that 90% of the time, delivery takes only 8 days—unfortunately, I ended up in the unlucky 10%. The next day (Saturday), the post office didn’t deliver my parcel, even though it was marked as “express delivery.” By member of your team. Instead, I was told I could only receive it on Tuesday, the 4th. This was completely unacceptable, as it missed all deadlines, and, worst of all, it was supposed to be a birthday present—which unfortunately arrived too late. I’m very disappointed. The product itself is great, but I made the mistake of not ordering from the official Loveramics website (as it was out of stock at the time).

Bought the Delonghi Dedica expresso machine for a great price from Coffee Friend – cheapest by £30 compared with other retailers. I was expecting a bit of a wait for delivery as was advised that delivery was approximately 8 days, but was very pleasantly surprised to receive the machine in 2 days! About the machine: it's very stiff to get the filter arm on and off but it does get easier the more you use the machine. It makes great coffee! I haven't used the milk frother much but have tested it out & it works (milk takes a long time to get really hot so I'd rather just use the microwave). Everything is easy to clean. I would definitely buy from Coffee Friend again.

Order 002866474 I bought a kettle from them on 26/01 which I received, however, the plug on it was European which was not stated on the description. I mailed them right away to ask about their returns policy, no response, then completed a returns form, no response so I still don’t know how to return it. It cost me £3.99 to have it delivered and on their returns form it says when they do reply it will cost more than double £9.90 to send it back, explain that? Do not buy electrical appliances from this company they are not selling uk goods and their customer service is appalling and if / when I can return it it’s cost me £14 for a kettle I would not have ordered had it been made clear in the description it had a European plug.

Easy to order, better price than anywhere else, delivery was a little slower than expected but happy to wait

I ordered a coffee machine as a gift for my husband for Christmas. There were a couple of things that didn’t go to plan. After a few weeks I hadn’t received a shipping confirmation so contacted them to get an update. They were extremely helpful, they had been waiting on some stock and were able to the machine shipped out on an express delivery for me and it arrived a few days later. Unfortunately there was a dent in the front of the box, I can only assume due to the couriers, they offered me a 15% refund for the inconvenience which I was happy to accept because the machine wasn’t affected. All be it there were some issues with my order, but the customer service I received was impeccable! Hence the 5* review. Thanks Coffee Friend! I’ll be ordering from you again.

Absolutely fuming. Bought a grinder from Coffee Friend, and it broke after only a month. Tried to get a refund or replacement, but they're saying it's "wear and tear. Wear and tear? I've used it maybe ten times!

The machine came with a European electric plug and a manual in German. Although an adaptor was provided to make the unit work with uk plug sockets, it was clunky and unsightly. A bad buy.
