The automatic coffee machine “De’Longhi ECAM 23.120.B” prepares freshly ground coffee beans each time and makes espresso, black coffee and the slow-brewed long coffee recipe at the touch of a single button. Using the steam wand, you can froth milk foam or heat milk for milk-based drinks. Simple operation and maintenance allow you to enjoy coffee quickly and easily.
ESPRESSO, BLACK COFFEE AND A SPECIAL LONG RECIPE
Using the buttons on the front, you can make espresso and black coffee (1 or 2 servings) at the touch of a button, as well as give the special slow-brewed long coffee a try. Portion size can be programmed separately for each button. By turning the knob, you will set the desired coffee strength.
COFFEE FROM BEANS OR PRE-GROUND COFFEE
Make your favourite coffee from freshly ground coffee beans or pre-ground coffee. If you use pre-ground coffee, you will only be able to prepare one serving at a time.
MILK FOAM AND HOT MILK FOR MILK-BASED DRINKS
This model has an improved steam wand with 2 fixed positions: one for milk foam and one for hot milk. All you have to do is select the desired position, immerse the steam wand in the milk container and choose the steam function.
SIMPLE MAINTENANCE
The automatic descaling program, the possibility of using a water filter, the rinsing program for the coffee brewing system and the removable coffee brewing unit ensure cleanliness of the coffee machine and a cup of coffee that is always delicious.
It is black coffee reminiscent of filter coffee or americano, prepared using lower pressure (3.5).

This coffee machine met all my expectations,it delivers lovely fresh coffee at a touch of the button. Am enjoying experimenting with different coffee beans for different tastes, with the hot water dispenser also offers the choice to weaken coffee and adapt various size to suit. Love it .

After looking for a good price online, found the ECAM 23.120B substantially cheaper on The Coffee Mate web site. At the time of ordering I hadn’t realised that the company is not based in the UK. I started to wonder what the deal was when I was tracking the order and found the delivery starting in Lithuania. Luckily though I needn’t have been concerned as the machine arrived well packaged, undamaged and brand new. The concern then was if it was covered in the UK by Delonghi and that it was supplied with a two pin European electrical plug fitted. After speaking with Delonghi they confirmed by serial number that the machine was fully warranted. They weren’t happy with the two pin plug even with an adapter fitted. After a few days De’Longhi technical confirmed the plug would have to be replaced with a 13amp plug top by a qualified Electrician. This obviously reduced the discount against UK suppliers by £25 but still £50 cheaper than Amazon. This done the machine is now working excellently producing superb tasting coffee, it’s also very simple and intuitive to use. I previously had a Krupps manual ground coffee machine that was a real chore to use but this semi automatic machine is so easy it’s an absolute pleasure. I totally recommend this for all the above reasons and thanks also to Alice at The Coffee Mate for answering all my questions and maintaining her patience even when I lost mine. I highly recommend the service of this company and for Delonghi’s assistance in clarifying the electrical connections issue.
