Colomba pasquale (or ‘Easter dove’ in English) is a traditional cake enjoyed by the Italians during Easter. Similar to the Italian panettone, the dough for this cake is made with flour, eggs, sugar, natural yeast, and butter. It’s then fashioned into a dove-like shape to represent peace and hope, and is usually topped with pearl sugar and almonds before baking.

To make this colomba even more decadent, Zaghis have enriched it with wonderfully indulgent pistachio cream. The naturally leavened dough, the sweetness of white chocolate flakes, and the unique flavour of pistachios make for the perfect combo!
