These vibrant beans originate from the Colombian smallhorder cooperative of Dulima. Established in 2009, it seeks to introduce coffee drinkers to the unique flavour palette characterising coffees from the legendary Huila region. The name of the cooperative is inspired by the word the indigenous groups from southern Colombia used to refer to the volcano that is now known as “Tolima”. “Dulima” (meaning “Snow Queen”) embodies the way these coffee farmers approach their work: ample respect for tradition is here combined with the latest innovations, all while taking the time to ensure consistently high quality fit for a true Huilan queen. 

Huila was the first region in Colombia to start producing coffee. To this day, Huilan varieties make up as much as 18% of the entire coffee grown in this country. The lands of Huila are dotted by numerous mountains and volcanos: their high altitude and rich soil create a luscious, dynamic profile characterised by splendid acidity and enchanting sweetness. It’s the particularly well-balanced flavours of Huilan coffee that maintain its consistently high demand.

This coffee is bound to turn out amazing regardless of how you brew it, but the darker roast profile makes it suited particularly well for espresso machines, moka pots and Aeropress coffee makers.
